If you want to avoid a blank reports with empty messages. You need to do the follow the below steps in BIDS.
I assumed that "No data" is one of your tables.
* In the design view, Click the table the properties pane displays the properties for the selected item or press Cntrl+F4.
* In the properties pane, Look for the "NoRowsMessage" property filed and type the text as you mentioned "No data today".
